EA has given football fans a deeper look at EA Sports FC 25, launching on Fut 25 Coins Nintendo Switch and other platforms on September 27. EA Sports FC 25, the second installment without the FIFA branding, is set for release this September, featuring several new gameplay elements. The video introduces FC IQ, a new tactical system, as well as Player Roles, new goalkeeper play styles, and more.

The FC IQ system, described by EA as "a complete overhaul of the game's tactical system," allows for more detailed tactical play, giving players greater control over their team's strategies. "FC IQ can be used to emulate a favorite manager's tactics," says gameplay producer Paul Parsons, highlighting an example inspired by Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti. 

In addition, EA has introduced Player Roles for FC 25, enabling players to set specific roles for team members based on the situation and strategy. "We built an out-of-game AI model to help identify which Player Roles fit players in FC," Parsons explains, noting that some players will have a plus or double-plus rating, indicating they are accomplished or world-class in that role.

EA is also adding Smart Tactics, a system that offers automatic tactical suggestions as the game progresses. Players can share useful tactics with friends or followers using a code system.

FC IQ will be implemented across all modes, including Clubs and Career Mode, with a detailed exploration of Career Mode coming later. "FC IQ will also influence core systems in Career, such as Transfers, Scouting, and the Youth Academy," says producer Thomas Caleffi. "This means squad building and development go beyond just Overall Ratings (OVRs)."

EA Sports FC 25 will be released on September 27, 2024. Preorders are now open, offering early unlocks and additional bonuses for those who preorder the game.

In recent updates, EA Sports FC 25's presentation upgrades have been highlighted, promising enhanced visuals and smoother animations. Despite EA's history of overhyping gameplay changes (like HyperMotion), they have consistently improved presentation elements. Career Mode, in particular, is set for a significant refresh. While the introduction of a paid Season Pass has raised concerns, it is unlikely to impact the mode significantly, which promises many new features.

These features include both gameplay improvements and quality-of-life enhancements, contributing to a better overall experience. FC IQ adds various new player roles for flexibility, such as having your striker drop into midfield or your full-backs cut into the center. The new system aims to address one of the biggest frustrations of EA FC fans: player runs. Smarter players with clearer instructions should make more timely runs.

Youth teams, previously one of the most underdeveloped aspects of Career Mode, will see improvements in EA FC 25. The most exciting new feature is the Rush mode, also available in Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs. This mode is essentially street rules soccer, bringing a creative twist to the series.

In Career Mode, players can use Rush mode with their youth team at set points during the season. This exciting substitute for training sessions allows deeper engagement with the youth squad.
