Unlocking your Ascendancy class is a multi-step process that involves defeating specific bosses and completing key objectives.
Complete the Trial of POE2 Currency the Sehkemas: The first requirement for Ascendancy is to complete the Trial of the Sehkemas, located in Act 2. This trial becomes accessible after you defeat Balbala, the Traitor in Traitor's Passage. You must also obtain Balbala's Barya Coin, which serves as the key to entering the Trial of the Sehkemas.
Defeat the Act Boss: After completing the trial, you’ll need to defeat the Act Boss of Act 2 to unlock the Ascendancy trials. The act bosses are tough, but defeating them will give you access to the higher challenges required for Ascendancy.
Trial Completion: After defeating the Act Boss, you'll progress to the Trial of Ascendancy. Here, you’ll be required to defeat a final set of enemies and prove your mettle. Once completed, you'll unlock your first Ascendancy point.
Acquiring Ascendancy Points
Ascendancy points are acquired as you progress through the Ascendancy trials. Here’s how you’ll gain Ascendancy points:
Act Completion: After completing specific story acts and unlocking the Ascendancy trials, you’ll automatically earn Ascendancy points, allowing you to unlock new nodes on your Ascendancy tree.
Trial Rewards: Each trial will reward you with Ascendancy points, which are necessary to unlock additional Ascendancy nodes.
Elite Bosses and Endgame Content: Some of the most powerful Ascendancy points are unlocked through challenging endgame bosses and rare encounters. These encounters provide major rewards in the form of Ascendancy nodes.
As you progress through the game’s story, remember to focus on cheap POE 2 Exalted Orbs completing the Trial of Ascendancy as early as possible to maximize your character’s potential.
